IBM PC Core System: your personal pocket terminal
Today IBM Japan launched shipments of a new miniature PC weighing just 300 g.
Named PC Core System, the novetlty is sized just 160x82x22mm and bases on 1GHz Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 processor. It has 256MB RAM (up to 512MB), 20GB 2.5" HDD (up to 40GB), operates under Windows 98/2000/XP. If needed, one can connect to this little one an additional display, mouse, keyboard, or an Internet access port.

It´s obvious that the novelty to some extent resembles Antelope Technologies´s PC design introduced 1.5 year ago. Anyway, today it´s not that important as the final product is offered under the IBM brand.
IBM PC Core System retail price is unknown at the moment, but in over 1,000-unit quantities it will cost below ¥200,000 ($1850).
