NEC announces a new slim GSM/GPRS handset with a built-in digital camera
Today NEC announced its new slim handset N900 with a digital camera.

Sized like a credit card (85x54x8.6mm) and weighing 70 g, the novelty is still a fully-fledged GSM/GPRS device supporting Web browsing and featuring 1.8" 120x160 LCD display, 300K pixels camera, 40-tone polyphony. For more comfort the handset is bundled with a special hands-free.
Such a compact size became possible when NEC moved to the new more compact multi-layer PCBs and CSP chips. In China the new handsets will go on sale in February 2004.
