Cypress Semiconductor reaches volume production of 18-Mbit DP RAM
Cypress Semiconductor reached volume production of the high-density and high-bandwidth dual-port (DP) RAM. The FLEx72™ 18-Mbit DP RAM is a synchronous, pipelined dual-port memory that provides 72-bit wide ports enabling up to 19.2 Gbps of bandwidth.
Configured as a 256K x 72 device, the FLEx72 DP RAM operates up to 133 MHz and provides synchronous SRAM interface to processors, DSPs, FPGAs and ASICs. Available in a 484-ball FBGA package, the FLEx72 DP RAM features low operating voltage (3.3 V) and low standby & dynamic power consumption. This device includes full range of features such as separate byte enables, master reset, mailbox interrupts for port-to-port message passing, IEEE 1149.1 compatible JTAG interface for improved manufacturability and more.
The addition of the FLEx72 18-Mbit devices expands Cypress’s broad dual-port memory portfolio, which includes the FLEx36™ family of 1-Mbit, 2-Mbit, 4-Mbit and 9-Mbit devices currently in production.
