Pentax releases PENTAX-DA 16mm-45mm F4 ED AL lens for DSLR cameras
Pentax released its new lens for DSLR cameras, *ist D in particular — PENTAX-DA 16mm-45mm F4 ED AL. For sale the lens is to arrive late in December for $466. The novelty will be demonstrated on January 7 at PEPCOM Digital Focus in Las Vegas during CES 2004.
The primary difference of DA lens is the Quick-Shift Focus System that enables photographers to switch between manual and automatic focusing by rotating the focusing ring.

- 83-35° viewing angle (with *ist D), 16-45mm focal range (24.5-69mm in 35mm equiv.)
- 3x optical zoom
- Automatic aperture (F22 min. without the ring)

- 72x92mm size
- 365g weight
