RightMark Audio Analyzer 5.2 released!
Audio.Rightmark.Org, the Independed Audio Benchmark Project, released its new RightMark Audio Analyzer 5.2 kit designed for testing acoustic capabilities of sound cards and systems.
New features of RMAA 5.2 include:
- AES17 band limiting filter for 20 Hz to 20 kHz range (now test results for high sampling rate modes of 96 kHz and higher are more perceptually adequate);
- Two types of THD acoustic measurements (2nd + 3rd harmonics only or THD+N);
- Custom color schemes for spectrum graphs (including inverted graphs for printing);
- Synchronized test signal length for all modes (for improved testing stability in high sampling rate modes);
- Several minor bugfixes.
RightMark Audio Analyzer 5.2 is available for download here.
RightMark Audio Analyzer is the independent audio measurements open-source project developed by iXBT.com.
The RightMark Audio Analyzer test kit is designed for testing acoustic capabilities of sound cards and systems. The testing is conducted by playing and recording test signals that pass along the tested path. Obtained results can be saved and browsed. For those unfamiliar with measured technical specs, the kit provides results such as "bad", "average", "good", "very good", "excellent".
