Graphics cards on GeForce MX 4000 arrive to Japanese retail
The first graphics cards on GeForce MX 4000 GPUs that arrived to Japanese retail were GF4M4000-A128C (AGP, 128MB of 64-bit DDR, D-Sub, DVI, TV-out) and the low-profile GF4M4000-LA128V (AGP, 128MB of 64-bit DDR, TV-out, no DVI). Both cards were introduced under the local brand, Kurouto Shikou, however the actual maker was Taiwanese Palit that posted the corresponding specs on its website.
As you remember, GeForce MX 4000 (or NV18B) doesn´t differ much from GeForce MX440-8X, it just supports 128MB or 64MB of 128-bit DDR organized as 16Mx16, and has TMDS and S-Video controller integrated into the core. GPU has 275/400 (DDR) MHz clock speed. In other words, it´s a slightly improved variant of mainstream low-end graphics.
In Japan GF4M4000-A128C costs about $60-63, the low-profile GF4M4000-LA128V – about $57-60.
