NVIDIA unveils Quadro FX 1100 GPU for mid-range workstations
NVIDIA extended its professional GPU list with the new Quadro FX 1100. As the new mid-range GPU Quadro FX 1100 is made using 0.13µm process at IBM fab in East Fishkill, NY. It´s clear that behind this not very usual Quadro FX classification is the familiar NV36 known as GeForce FX 5700 in the desktop market.
This implies the following features:
- 128-bit FP precision graphics
- 12-bit subpixel precision
- 128MB RAM
- 16X FSAA
- and other GeForce FX 5700 features
In NVIDIA´s hierarchy Quadro FX 1100 is positioned between Quadro FX 2000 and Quadro FX 1000. Information about the entire Quadro FX family is provided at company´s website alongside with Quadro FX 1100 SPECviewperf 7.1.1 test results.
I´ll just add that cards on Quadro FX 1100 will be produced and distributed by PNY (in USA and Europe), Leadtek (Asian-Pacific) and Elsa (in Japan). The new graphics cards will be available early next year in Hewlett-Packard´s Workstation xw4100, Workstation xw6000 and Workstation xw8000 and IBM IntelliStation MPro and ZPro.
