Intel stops production of 2GHz Celeron processors
Intel stopped the production of 2GHz Celeron processors (both tray, and box). The main reason was demand shifting to more powerful models like 2.8GHz Celeron announced early this month. (This 0.13µm novelty supports 400MHz FSB and is designed for Socket 478 boards. In over 1,000-unit quantities it will cost $117.)
All orders for 2GHz processors will be processed as usual – until there are stocks available. The last orders for 2GHz processors will be accepted on March 12, 2004 (for both tray, and box models). For 2.8GHz processors orders are accepted until November 11, 2004 (OEM), and June 11, 2004 (box).
