Fujitsu Siemens releases new Pocket LOOX 610
At Octoberfestival customer event in Augsburg, Fujitsu Siemens Computers presented its new Pocket LOOX 610 handheld. Pocket LOOX 610 is based on Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 2003 for Pocket PC and low-power 400MHz Intel® XScale™ PXA 255 processor. The 240x320 transflective touchscreen supports 65K colors (53.6x71.5mm, 0.22 dot pitch). This small, lightweight handheld with long battery life is positioned as a business tool for mobile professionals.
The two basic versions of the Pocket LOOX 610 feature extensive communication functions. While both have fully integrated Bluetooth and infrared interfaces, the Pocket LOOX 610 BT/WLAN also comes with integrated wireless LAN. The Pocket LOOX 610 BT also supports wireless LAN connections with an optional CompactFlash (CF) card. Users can also take advantage of the CF card on all models to access their corporate data via GPRS.
Pocket LOOX 610 BT has 64Mb RAM and 64Mb ROM, while Pocket LOOX 610 BT/WLAN has 128Mb RAM and 64Mb ROM.
The 1500mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of operation. You can also purchase the 3000mAh XL battery that provides 20 hours of operation. Sized 147.5x78x18.2mm, Pocket LOOX 610 BT weighs 197g, Pocket LOOX 610 BT/WLAN – 205 g.
The Pocket LOOX 610 will go on sale in November.
