New dual-channel SiS655TX chipset officially announced

SiS introduced the new SiS655TX chipset for Pentium 4 supporting 800MHz FSB and dual-channel DDR400 and designed for SiS964 Southbridge over MuTIOL 1G.

So what is actually new in SiS655TX? The main difference from SiS655FX is the improved Advanced HyperStreaming Engine (vs. just HyperStreaming Engine in SiS655FX). According to the press release, the new engine improves data exchange between chipset host blocks and memory controller, provides lower latencies and higher performance.

I guess we´ll be able to test all of the above in practice, as, according to the company, SiS655TX is already in volume production, so the motherboards are to arrive in November.
