MSI 848P Neo-S: 800MHz FSB on a Budget @ EOC

"When the Intel 875/865 chipsets were released, they became an instant success with the incorporation of an 800MHz FSB, dual 64-bit memory controllers, native serial ATA, and official support for DDR400. These features are nice, but do not come cheap. Not everyone can afford to dish out $100-$200+ just for a motherboard. MSI has come up with a solution to this problem by designing the 848P Neo-S. This mainboard sports most of the same features as the higher end 875/865 boards minus a few key things such as dual channel DDR."

S-ATA Hard drive roundup @ TrustedReviews

"With most new motherboards shipping with Serial ATA support we thought it was time to roundup a batch of the latest SATA hard disks and cast our eye over them. You can never have too much hard disk space, so if you’re thinking of expanding your system storage read on..."

Acer launches Ferrari 3000 laptop @ DarkVision Hardware

"Acer who is an official supplier to the Scuderia Ferrari racing team announced the launch of the exclusive Ferrari 3000 notebook. If you take a look at the specifications you will see that this Ferrari style looking laptop is not the absolute top race car in the notebook market, but it does have the Ferrari price tag."

Designtechnica reviews the MPIO-DMK MP3 Player

"Overall, the MPIO-DMK is the perfect player for those on the go. We say this because the DMK is so tiny that you will hardly notice it on you. The DMK is perfect when working out both in the gym and on the street. This is the easiest mp3 player to use and anyone can learn its functions in a matter of minutes; it is an mp3 player for the rest of us so to speak. If you have hours to spend categorizing and storing albums of music on a hard drive, look somewhere else. For us, all it took was an easy 3 minutes of moving songs from our computer to the DMK then running out the door."

HWZ review: Chaintech Apogee FX71 (FX 5600 Ultra)

Sporting VIVO functions, good accessories, video-editing related software and some other extras, it was an almost perfect product. In this review, you´ll get to know more about this card and the complete low-down on the FX 5600 Ultra´s performance and a few other attention-grabbing details."

HWZ review: PrimeFilm PF3650 PRO3 Film Scanner

"The new PrimeFilm PF3650 PRO3 is just what every film photographer wants — a reliable and high quality scanner that does not only scan images off the film, but something that restores the original quality of the film at the same time. The PF3650 PRO3 is the latest film scanner from Pacific Image Electronics that´s equipped with not only a high-resolution 3600dpi CCD, but it incorporates Applied Science Fiction´s Digital ICE3 technology."

Zalman VGA Heatpipe ZM80C-HP Reviewed @ myWORLD Hardware

"Zalman is well known for its silent cooling device. Unlike other cooling solutions, Zalman emphasizes on keeping systems cooled while keeping noise levels low. All the way from Korea, they have made pretty good publicity themselves for their Zalman CNPS and their previous ZM80A-HP VGA Heatpipe Cooler."

Albatron FX5900 Turbo (FX5900QV) 256MB @ Legion Hardware

"The Wise Fan technology cooling system did an excellent job of keeping the Albatron FX5900 Turbo cool as it maintained excellent stability throughout the testing phase. With that said there were no stability or compatibility issues encountered during testing to speak of. The performance of the Albatron FX5900 Turbo was also impressive and in all tests the card was able to out do the ASUS competition."

Creative vs VideoLogic 7.1-channel speakers @ TrustedReviews

"The development of 7.1-channel sound was engineered in conjunction with Star Wars Episode I which was the first film to use the Dolby Digital EX standard. The reason for this was that in large cinemas there could sometimes be a hole in the sound stage at the rear which EX filled in with centre rear channels. But in a home environment you’re unlikely to encounter this problem. Also it’s worth remembering that the centre rear channels are a matrix of the standard rear channels (or the side channels as they’re described in a 7.1 system). Only if you’re listening to something mixed in DTS ES Discreet will you have 7.1 discreet channels of sound, but sources using this format are pretty thin on the ground."
