Micron Technology samples 288Mbit RLDRAM II
Micron Technology started sampling the first 288Mbit reduced latency DRAM II or RLDRAM II chips that operate at 400MHz DDR and are mainly designed for telecom and storage markets.
Micron 288Mbit RLDRAM II feature 8-bank architecture and provide up to 28.8Gbps peak performance with their 36-bit interface. At that their random cycle time (tRC) is about 20ns. Other RLDRAM II advantages include on-die termination (ODT), multiplexed and non-multiplexed addressing, on-chip delay lock loop (DLL), programmable output impedance and 1.8V voltage.
New 288Mbit RLDRAM II are sampled in standard 144-pin 11x18.5mm FBGA cases.
