Sony to announce DVD PSX gaming combine next week at CEATEC Japan 2003
Reuters, referring to Sony officials, reports that already next week at CEATEC Japan 2003 the company plans to introduce its universal Sony PSX gaming console.
Today very scarse details are known about PSX. It´s expected to combine a gaming console and a multimedia center. In a single body PSX will feature a TV-tuner, DVD recorder with a hard drive, and a kind of Playstation 2. Pity, but this is all we know about it for now. It´s even less than Sony PSP pocket console to be announced at E3 next year.
Following the tradition, Sony plans to establish Sony PSX sales in Japan first where it´s expected before the end of 2003. Shipments to Europe and USA are to start early in 2004. No more precise dates were given.
