The first VIA Apollo P4X400 board — P4PB 400 from VIA
VIA Technologies presented its new VIA P4PB 400 ATX system board based on VIA Apollo P4X400.
VIA P4PB 400 brief specifications:
- Pentium 4, Celeron 533/400 MHz FSB support
- VIA Apollo P4X400 Northbridge + VT8235 Southbridge
- 3 DDR DIMM slots, up to 3 GB DDR400/333 memory
- AGP 8È/4È slot (1.5 V)
- 5 PCI slots
- CNR slot
- Integrated 6-channel VIA VT1616 AC´97 codec
- Integrated IEEE 1394 support — VIA VT6306 IEEE 1394, 2 ports
- 4 USB 2.0/1.1 ports
- SPDIF interface
- Integrated 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet — VIA Rhine III VT6105M
VIA P4PB 400 will feature two versions: P4PB 400-FL — complete, and P4PB 400-L — without IEEE 1394 support.
