Photo of the day: Asustek´s system board with 32-bit RDRAM support
It´s been over a month since the announcement of 32-bit RIMM by Samsung, and now Asustek presented P4T533/R system board with new 32-bit RDRAM support.

The board, based on i850E chipset, features Ultra ATA/133 IDE RAID controller on NEC chips and USB 2.0 controller on Promise chips, plus integrated 5.1 audio from C-Media. The expected price is 26800-27800 yen ($230-240).

32-bit RDRAM are said to provide almost twice higher data transfer rates. If you recalculate them for current models considering the bit-capacity, it would be like:
- PC800 (16 bit = 1.6 GB/s, 32 bit = 3.2 GB/s, 64 bit = 6.4 GB/s)
- PC1066 (16 bit = 2.1 GB/s, 32 bit = 4.2 GB/s, 64 bit = 8.5 GB/s)
- PC1200 (16 bit = 2.4 GB/s, 32 bit = 4.8 GB/s, 64 bit = 9.6 GB/s)
However, you should remember that 32-bit RIMM has more pins 232 instead of 168. And future 64-bit RIMM units, perhaps, will have about 326 pins.
