Nokia: 2Q 2002 results
Nokia reported the fiscal year report for 2Q 2001 — 2Q 2002. Though revenues reduced by 6% from €7.35 billion to €6.94 billion this year, profit increased up to €1.26 billion. With all payoffs final company profit for 2Q 2002 made €1.22 billion and profit rate made 17.6% comparing to 11.7% last year.
European and Asian-Pacific markets favoured the shipments of Nokia 7650 Symbian OS communicator. The company considers MMS-enabled markets as primary for Nokia 7650.
And, finally, Nokia promises to release several new products before the year-end. One of them — WCDMA/GSM device — is expected in September. Nokia promises to launch its 3G network by that time.
