Nokia: 2Q 2002 results
Nokia reported the fiscal year report for 2Q 2001 2Q 2002. Though revenues reduced by 6% from 7.35 billion to 6.94 billion this year, profit increased up to 1.26 billion. With all payoffs final company profit for 2Q 2002 made 1.22 billion and profit rate made 17.6% comparing to 11.7% last year.
European and Asian-Pacific markets favoured the shipments of Nokia 7650 Symbian OS communicator. The company considers MMS-enabled markets as primary for Nokia 7650.
And, finally, Nokia promises to release several new products before the year-end. One of them WCDMA/GSM device is expected in September. Nokia promises to launch its 3G network by that time.
