Korean mass-media reports TFT LCD and DRAM price cuts
According to South Korean Digital Chosun, prices for two most important export products TFT LCD panels and DRAM chips has recently dropped considerably.
As a result of July price cut, prices for TFT LCD panels from Samsung Electronics and LG Philips reduced by average $20 to $240 for 15-inch and $20 to $350-$360 for 17-inch panels.
Based on DRAM Exchange and local online marketplaces, the paper concluded that by yesterday the price of 128 Mbit SDRAM chips reduced by 50% in July and now makes about $2.05 per chip. DDR SDRAM prices were slightly cut as well.
