RADEON 9700 PRO: the first ATI Radeon 9700 product in retail
Today ATI Technologies announced its first retail product based on DirectX 9 Radeon 9700 GPU — RADEON 9700 PRO card.
RADEON 9700 PRO has 128MB DDR SDRAM clocked at 620 MHz (DDR), VGA, DVI-I and S-video. GPU clock rate is 325 MHz.
The sales of RADEON 9700 PRO together with RADEON 9000 PRO in North America are planned to August 19. The suggested retail price of RADEON 9700 PRO is $399. according to the official press release, Radeon 9700 products from ATI will appear in retail in the end of August (I guess Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 and C.P.Technology, Gigabyte solutions will be the most actual for Europe).
ATI promised to ship other Radeon 9000 and Radeon 9700 solutions later, before the end of 2002.
