3-megapixel Canon PowerShot S230
North American Canon announced another PowerShot camera: S230. According to Canon, it´s the smallest 3-megapixel camera today.
Similar to PowerShot G3, S230 features DIGIC processor for improved image and movies quality, faster focusing, image processing; and iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space). Besides, S230 utilizes 9-element AiAF.
Other features are: 2È optical lens, built-in flash, 15 1/15000 sec shutter, ISO 50-400; 15 fps 160È120 movies, up to 3 min. Direct printing to Canon CP-10 / CP-100 and Bubble Jet S830D/S530D.
The camera is expected for sale in October for $500. The package includes 16MB flash card, battery, power adapter, and a software CD.
