Inspire 6.1 6600: new 6.1-channel acoustics from Creative
In addition to the yesterday announcement of new 6.1-channel Audigy 2 family, today Creative Technology announced new 6.1-channel Creative Inspire 6.1 6600, featuring a subwoofer and 6 satellites.
Combined with 6.1- or 5.1-channel soundcard, Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 supports 6.1-channel sound positioning, already topical for such games, as Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Soldier of Fortune II, and a hundred of other DirectSound 3D, EAX, EAX ADVANCED HD games.

According to the press release, Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 is being shipped already (though it has been posted on the Asian website only). The suggested price is $109.99.
