16-megapixel Imacon Ixpress Digital Back
Today at Photokina Imacon announced the uts new CCD — Imacon Ixpress Digital Back.
The new back features 16 million of 9-micron pixels. As each shot takes 96MB, Ixpress Digital Back is designed only for stationary photo cameras.
Due to such volumes digital photos are stored in about 100GB Ixpress Image Bank (the press release states 1,000-shot storage). The cable between Ixpress Digital Back and Ixpress Image Bank is seen on all photos. Files can be written, read or deleted without a PC.
Ixpress Digital Back can be used for continuous shooting, each shot taking 1.5 sec.
