Conexant Systems announced the certified HomePlug 1.0 router gateway for accessing local and global networks over wiring harness. Data transfer speed is claimed to make 14 Mbps.

Conexant HomePlug utilizes CX82100 HNP (home network processor) and CX11656 transceiver reference design.

In over 25,000-unit quantities HomePlug will cost $18.
