Dell started sales of the new Dell/EMC CX400 midrange server.
Dell/EMC CX400 is designed for SANs (Storage Area Networks), being a data storage system, capable of working with various data, including streaming video. 2GB FibreChannel guarantees up to 680 MB/s throughput at up to 4.4 TB (terabytes) capacity and up to 60,000 request/min processing, enabled by up to 60-hard-disk configurations.
The module features 3U form-factor (450x603.3x134mm), weighing up to 40 kg. It utilizes 1-inch high 36GB 10K/15K RPM or 73GB 10ë RPM FC-AL hard disks and supports RAID 0, 1, 1/0, 3, 5. Each drive bases on 800 MHz Xeon. The price with 3-year warranty makes over $60.000.
