AMD posts ClawHammer thermal design guide
AMD posted the ClawHammer Processor Thermal Design Guide(6.18 MB) on its website.
57 pages contain variants of heat-sinks and fix methods. The 13th page illustrates how to fix a heat-sink to a mobo using screws.

Page 16 describes a method, similar to Pentium 4 cooler installation. Though here backplate and retention plate are already installed on the motherboard.

The guide contains many details, that ClawHammer owners will be interested in, for example, the reference heat-sink base size (77x68 mm), recommendations for more powerful processor versions, figures of pressed aluminium and copper heat-sinks, etc. Worth reading it is.
