2.00, 2.40, 2.66, 2.80 GHz Intel Xeon with 533 MHz FSB to be released soon?
Thanks to one of our readers, in a new document about changes in Intel Xeon logo, posted at Intel website, we found the release date of Xeon with 533 MHz FSB. According to the document they’ll be announced on November 15, 2002. Naturally, new chipsets for these processors — Granite Bay (Intel E7205), and Placer (Intel E7505) might be officially announced as well that day.
The same doc contains brief specs of new Xeons with 533 MHz FSB:
And describes new Intel Xeon logo, to be used from November 15: raster will be replaced by text with specific font size. It will be used on new Intel Xeons with 533 MHz FSB and will look like (top one):
