Infineon announces 2Gb PC2100 DDR SDRAM
Not many systems support 2Gb PC2100 DDR SDRAM, though not everyone needs them as well. But if there’s demand, there’s offer.
As far back as in summer Infineon announced 512Mbit samples for building 2Gb PC2100 DDR SDRAM, and now they reached the retail (currently Japanese). Modules are based on Infineon HYB2525D512400AT-7 chips (512Mb, 128Mx4, DDR266A, 2-3-3), which production was launched in Q3, according to the official information, and feature CL=2.
Pricing will vary with the height: 1.2" modules will cost about $2560, 1.7" modules – about $2480.
