The December contract prices for 15" and 17" TFT LCDs go down
Despite all efforts to keep the December contract prices for LCD monitors at least on the level of November, the market presses on own scenarios. According to the Japanese Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the current contract prices for 15" and 17" LCD panels reduced to $160-170 and $260-270, i.e. by about $15.
According to the messages from Taiwan, the retail price of 15" LCD panels is very close to the cost price and sometimes is even lower. Due to this analysts expect the reduction to slow in early 2003.
