Toshiba announces new DynaBook SS S6 series
Toshiba announced the new DynaBook SS S6/286PNSL to arrive to retail late in December for over 240000 yens ($1920).
SS S6/286PNSL bases on Mobile Pentium III-M 866MHz, has 30Gb 1.8" thick HDD, 12.1" 1024õ768 TFT LCD display, 256Mb PC133 RAM. The motherboard bases on Trident CyberALADDiN-T+ALi M1535B bundle with integrated graphics.
The notebook features Type2 PCMCIA/CompactFlash/SD, Ethernet, V.90 modem, 3 USB 2.0 ports, lithium-polymer battery (standard up to 2.4 hours; the notebook will be 15-mm thick! Additional – 7.7 hours; 19-mm). S6/286PNSL length and width are 289 and 229 mm, weight – 1.19 kg.
The notebook will be sold with Windows XP Home Edition and Office XP Personal.
