ASUS AP1600R: new dual-processor Intel Xeon platform
ASUS presented specifications of its dual-processor AP1600R platform for one or two 2.4GHz+ Intel Xeon chips. AP1600R has a standard 1U form-factor for rackmount installation.
AP1600R bases on Serverworks GCLE + CIOBX2 bundle, supports up to 12Gb of ECC DDR266/200 and up to 4 hot-swap SCSI hard drives; features two 64-bit 133MHz PCI-X slots, integrated 10/100/1000Mbps (Intel 82544GC) and 10/100Mbps (Intel 82551) LAN controllers, dual-channel Ultra 160/320 SCSI controller (LSI 53C1010R/53C1030), 8Mb ATI RAGE-XL graphics.
The system is bundled with ASUS Server Management S/W and the full version of Trend Micro ServerProtect.
