Micron and VIA showcase a system with 1Gb DDR SDRAM modules
Today at Platform Conference in Silicon Valley, Micron and VIA showed off VIA VT8116 desktop motherboard with 1Gb unbuffered DIMM DDR SDRAM modules. It’s claimed to provide 266Mbps module output or 2.1Gb/s bandwidth total.
Memory modules feature 0.11-micron chips. As for the motherboard, it features 6 PCI slots, 1 AGP slot, 3 DIMM sockets, AC97 codec, 100Mbps Ethernet and UltraATA/133 controller.
