Verbatim announces 4x DVD+R media
Verbatim announced shipments of 4x DVD+R media.
New 4x DVD+R blanks feature Advanced AZO coating from Mitsubishi Chemical Media (Verbatim’s parental company) – an improved version of Metal AZO used in 2.4x media. Naturally, new 4x blanks are backward compatible with 1x/2.4x DVD+R recorders.
New products are expected in retail in February in 5/10-unit Jewel Cases. Besides, the company will release a specially-coated version for ink printing. According to provisional data, Verbatim will start shipping 4x DVD+RW media in May 2003.
