Matsushita Electric releases new Let´snote products
Matsushita Electric released two new mainstream Let´snote LIGHT and Let´snote PRO notebooks along with limited consignments of Panasonic Let´snote PRO R1 and Let´snote PRO T1 on the base of the former.
To mark the series anniversary, the improved Let´snote CF-R1MEAXP (about $1800), also featuring B5 form-factor and 10.4" 1024x768 XGA LCD panel, now weighs 30 g less, i.e. just 930 g. Besides, it bases on 933MHz ULV Pentium III-M (Intel 830MG), features 1.8" 20Gb HDD (instead of 2.5" one), 512Mb RAM, Windows XP Professional (SP1). Measured 240x183x37.2 mm, the model can work up to 5 hours using battery.
CF-R1MCAXR (about $1650), similar to CF-R1MEAXP, differs by 128Mb RAM, (up to 384Mb), 2.5" 20Gb HDD and IEEE802.11 WLAN interface. The limited consignment of notebooks to be sold from the company website will feature 256Mb RAM, 2.5" 40Gb HDD and WLAN interface.
Let´snote LIGHT T1 serie also includes four different models. One of them (about $1600), weighing 930 g, is provided with 1.8" 20Gb HDD, 933MHz ULV Pentium III-M, 12.1" XGA panel, 512Mb RAM, IEEE802.11b WLAN interface. Other models weigh from 999 g to 1.07 kg, feature same CPUs, 128 to 512 Mb RAM, 20-40Gb 2.5" HDDs and various interfaces. Prices for new Let´snote LIGHT T1 models are within $1500-1700 range.
