EIZO Nanao announces new ColorEdge CG18 professional monitors
As you know, really professional monitors differ from "professional class monitors" not only by specs, but also by precise color rendition setting capabilities, necessary for publishing. New LCD monitors from EIZO Nanao: ColorEdge CG21 and ColorEdge CG18, are really the former bundled with additional software for color calibration. First, the ColorNavigator software for Windows 2000/XP and Mac 0S 9.22.5 / Mac OS X together with GretagMacbeth’s i1 sensor allows to set optimal screen gamma for every need, and, second, these monitors have a special feature for controlling and adjusting brightness depending on environment temperature walks.
21" ColorEdge CG21 features 1600x1200 (UXGA) resolution, 0.27mm pixel pitch, 50ms response time, 250cd/m² brightness, 400:1 contrast, 170° vertical and horizontal viewing angle. The monitor has USB 1.1 port, analog and digital DVI-I connectors, and is bundled with an ADC-DVI adapter for PowerMac G3/G4. Measured 472x208.5x459mm, it weighs 10.2 kg. ColorEdge CG21 shipments are planned to May, MSRP – about $3750.
18.1" ColorEdge CG18 (on the left) features 1280x1024 (SXGA) resolution, 0.2805mm pixel pitch, 40ms response time, 250cd/m² brightness, 400:1 contrast, 170° vertical and horizontal viewing angle. The monitor has a USB hub, analog and DVI-I connectors, and is bundled with an ADC-DVI adapter for PowerMac G3/G4. Measured 399x203x404 mm, it weighs 8 kg. Sales of ColorEdge CG18 are scheduled to April, MSRP – about $2500.
