Sony VAIO FR130: a notebook on Mobile Athlon XP 2000+
Sony posted the specifications of new all-in-one multimedia notebook – VAIO FR130 on AMD Mobile Athlon XP 2000+ (1.667GHz, AMD PowerNow!).
PCG-FR130 features 14.1" 1024x768 (XGA) LCD display, 16Mb DDR NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go graphics, 256Mb DDR SDRAM (up to 1Gb), 40Gb HDD, internal DVD/CD-RW combo and a floppy, V.90 modem, 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet, PC Card Type I/II, Type III slots, CardBus, i.LINK (IEEE 1394) and USB 2.0 ports, TV-Out and sound system with built-in speakers. Battery allows for 2.5-3.0 hours of working.
Measured 330x274x43 mm and weighing about 2.9 kg, PCG-FR130 has a comprehensive software bundle, including Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Quicken 2002 Edition7, Corel Word Perfect Office 2002, InterVideo WinDVD 4, Adobe Photoshop Elements Trial Version9, Trend Micro PC-Cillin6, etc. The price for basic configuration starts from $1300.
