SuperMicro SuperServer 7043P-8R: new Dual Xeon platform
Today SuperMicro announced new SuperServer 7043P-8R platform optimized for enterprise server systems.
SuperServer 7043P-8R bases on SUPER X5DP8-G2 on Intel E7501 chipset with 6 PCI-X slots, dual Gigabit Ethernet controller; supports IPMI 1.5, one or two 2.8GHz+ Xeons with 533/400MHz FSB, up to 16Gb DDR-266/200 SDRAM (8 DIMM sockets). The server also supports up to 10 Ultra 320 SCSI HDDs and up to 15 removable storage (1.5Tb total).
The system features SC942S-600 4U chassis and has three 600W power supplies.
