About AMD new logos, Athlon XP-M and updated roadmap
This weekend AMD posted a number of updated logos for Athlon 64, Athlon XP, Athlon MP, Mobile AMD Athlon 4 and, whatís the most interesting, for Athlon XP-M.
According to the website posts this will be a new name of Mobile AMD Athlon XP Processor line, though roadmap of February 27 indicates Barton-based mobile CPUs might be released at CeBIT 2003.
The chart hasnít introduced other new names. The middle-end divides the current process technology and SOI. H1 2004 is still expected to bring the future 64-bit 90nm SOI Athens, San Diego and Odessa chips. So, the introduction of Athlon XP-M brand is the only actual update.
