EIZO Nanao to ship FlexScan L557 and FlexScan L695
Japanese EIZO Nanao is to ship its two new LCD monitors: 17" EIZO FlexScan L557 and 18.1" EIZO FlexScan L695. In Japan these are expected late in April.

17" FlexScan L557 features SXGA (1280x1024) panel with 0.264mm pixel pitch and is to replace FlexScan L565-A of May 2002. Max. brightness is 250cd/m², contrast 500:1, horizontal and vertical viewing angles 170°, response time – 25ms. Fine Contrast feature provides image adjustment.
The model has analog and DVI-D connectors. Line scan is 24.8kHz – 80kHz (analog) and 31.0kHz – 64kHz (digital); frame scan – 50Hz – 75Hz (analog) and 59Hz – 61Hz (digital). The monitor is designed in austere style with 14mm borders and stereo speakers (2x1W).
Energy consumption is <45W (<2W in standby). Dimensions – 368x198x375mm, weight – 5.6kg, approximate price in Japan $500.

18.1" FlexScan L695 is to replace FlexScan L685 of December 2001. The newer model differs by 4G semiconductor logic providing ActiveShot for "picture in picture" in dual-monitor configurations and 90° rotation.
Dot pitch is 0.2805mm, max. brightness – 250cd/m², contrast 400:1, horizontal and vertical viewing angles 170°, response time – 40ms. The monitor has analog and DVI-I connectors. Line scan is 30.0kHz – 82kHz (analog) and 30.0kHz – 81kHz (digital); frame scan – 49Hz – 86Hz (analog) and 59Hz – 60Hz (digital). Energy consumption <45W (<2W standby). Dimensions – 399x203x404mm, weight – 8.0kg. Approximate price $1650.
