Atech Totalsolution released a Compact USB Disk (CUD) memory card compatible with CompactFlash (CF).
Being smaller than CF by 1/3, the novelty can be used in CF-compatible devices via a special cartridge. CUD can be directly connected to a PC or PDA with a USB cable or adapter without any readers.
Currently, according to The Digitimes, CF solutions possess 54% of the market, followed by Memory Stick (25%), Secure Digital (10%), SmartMedia (8%) and MultiMedia Card (MMC) 3%.
