VAIO PCG-TR1A: a light notebook on 900MHz ULV Pentium M
We´ve already written that Sony is preparing to ship new Centrino-based VAIO PCG-TR notebooks. Recently company´s North American website was updated with specs of VAIO PCG-TR1A, so now we can offer more details about this novelty.

VAIO PCG-TR1A bases on 900MHz ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Intel Pentium M, Intel 855GM (int. graphics, 64Mb of shared memory), Intel PRO/Wireless 2100, 10.6" (1280x768) wide LCD supporting XBRITE technology, 512Mb DDR SDRAM (up to 1Gb), 30Gb HDD, internal DVD/CD-RW, V.90 modem, Ethernet 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX, PC Card Type I/Type II slot for Memory Stick, built-in digital camera (CMOS sensor, 640x480, 370,000 pixel, MotionJPEG), a number of interfaces (IEEE 1394, USB2.0, etc.)
With a standard Li-Ion battery set the notebook is claimed to work 2.5-7.0 hours (or 3.5-11.0 hours with higher-capacity battery). Model dimensions are 34.7õ269.2x187.9mm; weight is 1.27kg (w/battery). For website orders in USA the notebook will cost $1999.
