Elpida Memory announces 256Mbit x 32 SDRAM chip samples
Elpida Memory announced sampling of low-power compact 256Mbit x 32 SDRAM chips for mobile devices.

Organized as 2M x 32 bit x 4 banks, new 256Mbit õ 32 SDRAM chips (EDS2532AA, EDS2532CA, EDS2732AA, EDS2732CA) operate at 166MHz. They are made at Elpida´s proprietary lines using 0.11µm process. New chips are packed into standard 90-pin FBGA case approved by JEDEC, and require 3.3/2.5V VDD. Besides, they support BL = 1, 2, 4, 8 and full-page, CAS latency (CL)= 2, 3. Volume shipments of these novelties are scheduled to September 2003.
