DRAM implementation prospects up to 2010
Our Japanese colleagues from PC Watch posted a brief analytic forecast of desktop DRAM technologies evolution up to 2010, considering DDR2 and DDR3, in particular. They compiled a table (below) that includes typical capacities, standards and processes:
As you can see, DDR2-400/533 are still expected in early 2004, with DDR2-667 spreading already by 2005. DDR3 is expected in volumes about 2007.
