DDR500 chronicles: OCZ Technology introduces PC4000 Gold EL DDR
It seems the overclocker memory market entered a new turn dedicated to PC4000 modules. Today OCZ Technology announced shipments of its "PC4000 DDR500 EL DDR Gold Edition" memory solutions.
Similar to other products these support HyperSpeed and Extended Voltage Protection and are shipped with "gilded" heat-sinks.
OCZ PC4000 EL DDR Gold Edition feature 256Mb (256MB PN-OCZ500256ELGE) and 512Mb (PN-OCZ500512ELGE) capacities. Each module bases on selected chips tested in couples. This enables the company to offer dual-channel kits as well: 512Mb (2x256Mb) and 1Gb (2x512Mb). Modules feature CL 2.5-4-4-7 timings and require 2.8V voltage.
