TYAN announces Tomcat K8S mobo for AMD Opteron
TYAN posted specs of new Tomcat K8S (S2850) mobo for single-way AMD Opteron-based systems.
Tomcat K8S (S2850) brief specs:

- AMD-8111 chipset
- 4 x DDR DIMM sockets for up to 8Gb of 128-bit Dual-channel Registered ECC/non-ECC PC1600, PC2100, PC2700 memory
- 6 x 32-bit/33MHz PCI slots
- 4 x USB1.1 ports
- 6 x 3-pin controlled fan connectors
- Up to 4 x UDMA 33/66/100/133 IDE ATAPI devices
- Dual Broadcom BCM5705 GbE/100/10 S2850G2NR LAN
- 8Mb ATI Rage XL PCI graphics
- Silicon Image Sil3114, 4-channel SATA, RAID 0, 1, 0+1 (S2850G2NR); S2850G2N doesn’t feature Serial ATA
