Tyan unveils Thunder K8S (S2880) motherboard for AMD Opteron
Tyan posted the specs of its new Thunder K8S (S2880) server mobo on AMD8000 chipset for up to two AMD Opteron processors.
Thunder K8S specs:
- CPU: up to 2 x 940-pin µPGA AMD Opteron processors
- Power: 2 x three-phase VRMs
- Chipset: AMD-8131 + AMD-8111
- Memory: 128-bit Dual-channel DDR, 6 x 184-pin DDR DIMM modules, up to 12gb of Registered PC1600, PC2100 or PC2700, ECC supported
- 2 x 64-bit 66/33MHz PCI-X slots
- 2 x 64-bit 133/100/66/33 MHz PCI-X slots
- 1 x 32-bit 33 MHz PCI slot
- 4 x USB ports
- 7 x 3-pin connectors for tachometer-equipped fans
