FireGL X2-256 and FireGL T2-128: new professional graphics from ATI Technologies
At SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles ATI Technologies announced two new workstation graphics cards: the high-end FireGL X2-256 and entry-level FireGL T2-128.
FireGL X2-256 features 256Mb of 256-bit DDR II, dual DVI-I. Its FGL 9800 GPU has 4 geometry engines, 8 parallel rendering pipelines. FireGL X2-256 MSRP is $999, expected availability – August.
FireGL T2-128 has 128Mb of 128-bit DDR, digital DVI-I and analog interface. FGL 9600 GPU features 2 geometry engines and 4 parallel rendering pipelines. FireGL T2-128 MSRP is $379, shipments have already started.
