Lexar ships 4Gb 40õ CompactFlash
Lexar Media launched shipments of new 40x 4Gb CompactFlash Type II cards claimed to provide place for up to 600 RAW images from 6Mp pro cameras.
The product usually supports Write Acceleration (WA) technology providing speeds up to 6Mb/s. Considering the capacity, the card is best suited for FAT32 cams like:
- Canon Powershot G3, Powershot G5, Powershot S45, Powershot S50, EOS 10D, EOS-1Ds
- Kodak DCS 720X (via adapter), 760 (via adapter), DCS Pro Back (all models), DCS Pro 14n
- Olympus E-1
The MSRP of new cards is about $1500.
