VIA starts validation program for DDR400 modules
Just the same way it was
done for DDR333 modules, VIA Technologies Inc. has joined with Advanced
Validation Labs (AVL), which will conduct a validation program of DDR400 memory
modules with Via chipsets.
The VIA validation will test a wide range of DDR400 memory modules using Via´s
PT800 chipset for Intel Corp. processors and the KT600 chipset for Advanced
Micro Devices processors. The tests are aimed at assuring the compatibility
of modules with the VIA chipsets. It resembles validation effort by Intel, which
validates the compatibility of memory modules with Intel chipsets. By the way,
alike
program was launced by MSI.
