Tyan announces new S2885 mobo for Opteron-based workstations

Tyan announced a new dual-way Thunder K8W (S2885) workstation motherboard for 64-bit AMD processors supporting up to 2 Opteron CPUs and PCI-X.

The model also features AGP Pro 8X/AGP 8X Pro 110 slot, integrated SPDIF and 8 sockets for up to 16Gb ECC memory.

Sampling now, Thunder K8W (S2885) is scheduled for shipping in volumes for the near future.
