Kodak´s tomorrow-to-publish press release of EasyShare DX6490

Some companies hurry too much to announce new products. This time I mean Kodak with its EasyShare DX6490 Digital Camera press release dated August 21. Anyway, let´s have a look. Eastman Kodak Company unveiled its most advanced digital camera, Kodak EasyShare DX6490 zoom that will go on sale next month with MSRP of $499.

The camera is equipped with a professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 10X optical zoom lens (38-380 mm equivalent) with a f/2.8 f/3.7 maximum aperture.

  • Image Resolution: 4.0 megapixels (2304 x 1728 pixels)
  • Lens: 10X optical, 6.363.2 mm (38380 mm equivalent), 3.0X Advanced Digital Zoom
  • Auto-Focusing: Multi-zone, center-spot
  • Focusing Distance: Wide Std: 0.6 m to infinity, Tele Std: 2 m to infinity, Wide/Tele Infinity: 20 m to infinity
  • LCD: 5.6 cm
