Toshiba Gigabeat G20: multimedia player with 20Gb HDD
The list of portable multimedia HDD players was extended today with Toshiba Gigabeat G20. The novelty should arrive to the Japanese retail early in October for about $420. For the first time the Gigabeat trademark was announced in June 2002 along with MP3/WMA player for 5Gb MEG50JS PC Card Type II hard drives. This new model can play MP3, WAV and WMA files, indicating the necessary info on its 160x86 LCD display.
Gigabeat G20 features 1.8" 20Gb Toshiba MEG200J and is encased into the "sapphire blue" or silver aluminium case. Sized 76.5x89.5x12.7mm, it weighs about 138g. The built-in Li-Ion battery provides 11 hours of operation and the bundle includes a docking station. Supporting USB2.0, the player works under Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP.
